We headed up to the mountains today after church. It was so great for all of us to be feeling better after being in the house with some crazy stomach bug for almost a week. The dogs were excited too -well Rico was. Eva is definitely a little Diva. She would not walk once we were on the forest paths she just stood still and whined. Rico was having a blast being ahead of all of us sniffing, burrowing, exploring, he was in HEAVEN! Eva would not walk so everyone took turns carrying her around. WHAT A JOKE! SHE IS A DOG! oh but that is right- she really does not act like a dog -every time we take her for a daily walk outside she will not pee or poo she waits till we come back inside so she can do IT on her paper???? WACKY

Some how in all the excitement in getting ready to go the kids forgot their jackets. Cuddling together, sharing blankets, and Ben's jacket they munched on SMORES in front of the fire.
After one Smore John asked if we could go. He was done.

With the amazing sunset in front of us, glowing moon above us, two sacked out Chihuahua's on Ben's lap, two sweethearts in the back seat, and the delicate smell of pine needles and cold hot dogs in the car, we headed home with the the tranquil feeling of gratitude.
